In the past decade there has been much investment into providing traffic free cycle routes particularly in the South Wales Valleys where former railway lines, forest trails, and canal towpaths today provide a network of green scenic cycle routes. Tawe bikes was established during the 2021 Covid Pandemic to provide low cost and easily accessible cycle hire. We are a not for profit company. The objects of Tawe Bikes Ltd is to:
- Provide low cost and easily accessible cycle hire in South Wales which will encourage active sustainable travel and healthy recreational activity.
- Support the tourism sector by delivering an experience offering that sustainably connects destinations and boosts visitor spending locally.
- and in carrying out these objects the Company shall act in accordance with the sustainable development principle and aim at achieving the well-being goals, as defined by the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015.
