    Cwmdu Glen is a local nature reserve located in a 1 km gorge with the Upper Clydach river winding through via a series of cascades and waterfalls. Located adjacent to the gorge is the Glanrhyd Plantation, the former gardens of Glanrhyd House (now demolished). Once owned by prominent industrialist family The Gillberson’s who planted several giant redwood trees, the site today is a peaceful public reserve with numerous walking trails.
